Grabbed a bunch of 3rd party software for Mac & PC, will let you know if I get any results. SGRS is currently running an Analysis / Scan on the drive, but states this may be a very lengthy process, if you need to pause & restart the process. 144.12PB also seems to be a sign of a "dead drive" based purely on heresy of others mentioning it. SGRS now shows the disk volume of 144.12PB (Petabytes), which some brief google research shows is the current maximum limitation on drives since the early 2000s. Seagate Dashboard was able to test the drive = Drive Failed. ![]() Seagate Recovery Suite (SGRS) eventually acknowledged the drive after 3 or 4 restarts. ![]() ![]() MiniTool Data Recovery does not see the drive. The drive no longer spins up as far as I can tell.ĮaseUS Date Recovery Wizard does not see the drive. It did not feel warm (or hot) to the touch.ĭisconnected it & re-connected it to other USB ports, when it was powered through a new port it began flashing it's LED display light & emitting a low volume beeping noise repeatedly. ![]() The drive was sitting on my desk plugged in through a USB hub, no motion applied to it, and it suddenly quit working.
